Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has made his debut for the Surrey county team today against Somerset. This is the third county team that Ravi Ashwin has represented so far, he has played for Worcestershire in 2017, Nottinghamshire in 2019 and now Surrey in 2021.
This is good preparation ahead of the England series and it is a great decision from Ashwin to cut down his break and take part in the county. The five-match Test series between India and England will be started on 4th August at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
Surrey will be bowling first against Somerset and Ashwin has bowled the first over. For the first time, Ashwin and Hashim Amla will be playing together in Surrey. It was a treat for cricket lovers watching both the legends in a longer format.
