Ahead of the resumption of IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore has made three replacements. One of the finest T20 players, Tim David has become part of the RCB family replacing Newzealand’ Finn Allen. Tim David has a great record in the T20 format and he is a very handy bowler in this short format too.
Sri Lankan Speedster Dushmantha Chameera replaces Daniel Sams and he is available for RCB for the IPL 2021 in UAE. Another Sri Lankan added to RCB is Wanidu Hasaranga. He replaces Adam Zampa.
He was the player of the series in the recent bilateral series between Sri Lanka and India. He took 7 wickets in 3 matches with an economy rate of 5.58.
Simon Katich stepped down as RCB coach for some personal reasons. In his place, RCB welcomed Mike Hesson as their head coach. The Indian players, RCB supporting staff and team management will gather today in Bengaluru. After a seven days quarantine followed by covid tests, RCB will depart to UAE in a special chartered flight on 29th August. The International players will join the team on 29th August and later the team RCB will again undergo quarantine.
In the second session of IPL 2021, RCB will play its first match against KKR on 20th September at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
