Sensex, Nifty set new all-time records

The Sensex and Nifty set new records as auto, realty and PSU bank indices rose by 1 per cent each. BSE midcap and small cap indices are trading in green. The Sensex rose 253 points to an all-time high of 58,115.69 and the Nifty 50 Index touched a record high of 17,311.95.

Reliance Industries, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Titan, Axis Bank, Larsen & Toubro are the top movers in the Sensex. The 30-share Sensex crossed the 58,000 mark, the latest all-time record. The record was first set on Friday.

The Nifty 50 Index crossed its significant psychological level of 17,300 for the first time.  On Friday at 9:26 AM, the Sensex was up 208 points at 58,060. The Nifty 50 index rose 56 points to 17,290.  And the Asian shares appeared in gains on Friday. The dollar has seen its lowest level in a month compared to the main currency.
