Shreyas Iyer creates history with a ton on his Test debut

Shreyas Iyer creates history in his debut in the first Test match against New Zealand. He scored a brilliant century from 157 balls including 12 fours and 2 sixes.

When he came at the crease, India was 145 for 4 then he made this terrific hundred, a dream start for him in the Test career.  With this terrific ton, Shreyas Iyer became the 16th Indian to score a century on Test debut after Sehwag, Ganguly, Rohit Sharma, Dhawan, and Prithvi Shaw.

The terrific innings of Iyer ended at 105. Tim Southee got him.  It is the first five-wicket haul for Tim Southee against India in India in Test cricket, he fought so hard.

Team India is 328/8. R Ashwin (30) and Umesh Yadav(0) are at the crease now.
