Actor Siddharth has taken to Twitter to react on the ongoing post-poll violence in West Bengal. While the BJP has claimed that one lakh supporters of the saffron party have fled the State due to TMC activists’ violence, the ‘Bommarillu’ actor has indirectly put the blame at the doorsteps of the BJP.
“No place burns unless one party loses. Think about that. They always win and the defeated just move on. We are a country hijacked by a communal badly behaved cult,” Sid, without taking the name of the party, wrote on Twitter.
This has been seen as an instance of gaslighting by sections of Netizens. They are of the view that the actor has refused to condemn the violence because of his hatred for the BJP.
In another tweet, he called out social media influencer Shefali Vaidya’s suggestion that Sid was praising the attacks on rival party workers in Bengal. The tweet was actually made about TMC’s victory and not in relation to the violence, the ‘Maha Samudram’ actor clarified.
