SKY, Prithvi Shaw to join team India ahead of the England Test series

Ahead of the England test series, three players have been ruled out due to injuries. Opener Shubhman Gill is due to shin injury followed by Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar due to finger injuries.

In place of them, team India has requested BCCI for two openers and an off-spinner as stated by Cricbuzz. Prithvi Shaw is in place of Gill whereas Surya Kumar Yadav is for Ajinkya Rahane who has been suffering from a hamstring. Well, Surya Kumar Yadav has won the man of the series award on his debut ODI series.

Already, Mayank Agarwal is with the team as a reserved opener. Jayant Yadav has been selected for the Test series against England as an off-spinner. Both Shaw and SKY will fly to England after the T20I series with Sri Lanka. All arrangements for their travel are afoot by BCCI.

As of now, Jayant Yadav would fly to England immediately due to quarantine issues. Wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha, opener Abhimanyu Easwaran and bowling coach Bharat Arun have joined the team India.

In the practice match, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Siraj, and KL Rahul have performed brilliantly.
