The ‘Sputnik V’ vaccination at Apollo Hospitals in India will start from the second week of June. Apollo Executive Vice Chairperson Shobhana Kamineni (Apollo Group of Hospitals) said in a statement.
She said their group had so far given 10 lakh vaccine doses in 80 areas of the country. She said Vaccination was given to front line workers, high-risk population and corporate employees in order of priority. She said the immunization program was being accelerated, with one million doses per week in June, and it would be doubled in July.
She said they would complete 20 million doses by the end of September this year. The Apollo Group is the largest vaccinator in the private sector. Shobhana Kaminey said they would continue to support the central and state governments in the fight against corona.
She also thanked the Center, the state governments, Covishield and Covaxin manufacturers for their support. She suggested that everything would be safer if everyone was vaccinated.
