Sumit Antil wins a gold medal with a world record

Truly, this Sri Krishashtami is an unforgettable one for millions of Indians across the globe. It seems that the Almighty has been showered blessings to the great dedication and hard work of Indian athletes in Paralympics 2020.

After Avani Lekhara, another gold for India, Today. Sumit Antil scripts history by breaking his own record twice and set a new world record by winning a gold for the country.

Sumit’s first throw of 66.95m is a World Record in Men’s Javelin Throw F64 Final event. Later, he breaks his record with the second throw of 68.08m.

And bags gold with a new world record of 68.85m in the fifth attempt by breaking the world record that was set after his second throw. He set three new world records with a score of 66.95m( first throw), 68.08m(second throw), and 68.55m(third throw).

Michal Burian(Australia) wins Silver with 66.29m and  Bronze medal by Dulan Kodithuwakku of Sri Lanka with 65.61m.  

In Paralympics, India has won 8 medals including two gold medals. Today India has won five medals including two gold, two silver and a bronze.
