There are signs that terrorism is on the rise after Afghanistan fell into the hands of the Taliban. It is well known that terrorist groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and ISIS are already taking refuge in Afghanistan. There are reports that this poses a threat to India.
In addition to this, both Pak and China were waiting for the time to pounce on India. And the open support of the Pak and China governments to Afghanistan put India in a tight situation.
Under such circumstances, another sensational matter came to light. The Taliban which completely seized control of Afghanistan last weekend has released the terrorists from prisons. It is reported that 100 Pakistani militants, who have been languishing in Afghan jails for days, have been released.
All of them appear to be from the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Credible sources said that among those released were key commandos such as TTP deputy chief Maulvi Fakir Mohammad, along with ordinary militants. It also seems to have left out those associated with extremists such as Islamic State (IS) and Al-Qaeda.
