Telugu movie highlights ‘Friends with benefits’ trend

‘Friends with benefits’ and casual flings are sexual trends in cities. They have caught up in Hyderabad as well. Unlike Bollywood movies, however, mainstream Telugu films have always shied away from talking about these Tinder-era practices indulged in by the sexually active generation.

For a change ‘Ippudu Kaaka Inkeppudu’ has touched upon it. While the movie loses its fizz in the second half, it tries to project male and female sexuality without sounding apologetic in the first half. The hero-heroine duo work in MNCs and make out just for fun.

As per the story, the male lead (played by Hasvanth Vanga) and the female lead (played by Namrata Darekar) decide to hook up after being sexually attracted to each other. Their discreet relationship haunts them and this is when the film runs out of strong content.

Directed by Pawan Kumar K, ‘Ippudu Kaaka Inkeppudu’ has received a lukewarm response at the box office.
