To break the Covid chain, the Maharashtra government is not allowed Cinemas

After interacting with the state health department and ministers, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has announced the revised guidelines to follow in the state to break the Covid-19 chain. Still, Maharasthra is reporting more cases in the nation after Kerala.

As per the new rules, Restaurants and eateries with 50% occupancy are allowed till 10 PM.

Shops and Malls are also allowed till 10 PM whereas Gym, Parlour, Saloon are allowed to open with 50% occupancy till 10 PM.

The private offices can be operational 24 hours. Employees need to be fully vaccinated. 25% attendance per shift.

Weddings were allowed with 100 people( indoor) and 200 (outdoor).

Cinemas, Multiplexes, Theaters, and Religious places remained closed. Political, Religious, Cultural events and gatherings were not permitted.

The Maharashtra government also stated that customers need to carry vaccination certificates. All these revised guidelines will be effective from 15th August 2021.

With the new guideline of not opening cinemas, it will be a big blow to Bollywood which is planning to release films. Already, Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom has been confirmed for the grand release on 19th August. Maharashtra contributes a major share of the Bollywood box office collection.

This decision may pinch badly especially the Bell Bottom movie team.
