September is going to be an important month for the Telugu cinema. In a way, it is more important than August.
It’s said that Gopichand’s ‘Seetimaarr’ is going to hit the cinemas on September 10. This is an important medium-range movie that the distributors and exhibitors are hoping will fetch profits.
Already, efforts are on to release ‘Tuck Jagadish’ in September. The Nani-starrer will hit Amazon Prime Video and theatres have no stakes in its success. However, if the film does well on the streaming giant, a few medium-range movies can hope to land plum OTT offers in the near future.
There are many films such as ‘Virata Parvam’, ‘Sridevi Soda Centre’, ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ and, of course, the much-awaited ‘Love Story’ that are eager to test their luck at the box office. Looks like none of them is going to release in August. If ‘Paagal’ (August 14th release) also does well like ‘SR Kalyanamandapam’, these films may be back in the news.
