In the 46-minute video, Stanikzai says the war in Afghanistan is over. He said they would form an Islamic government based on Sharia law. The Taliban have expressed views on relations with various countries, including India, Pakistan, China and Russia. He said they would continue their political, trade and cultural ties with India. He said that India is a very important country in this sub-continent and will maintain all kinds of relationships as before.
Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen and Zabihullah Mujahid recently spoke to Pakistani media and shared their views on relations with India. But this is the first time a top Taliban leader, such as Stanekzai, has spoken out about relations with other countries.
