Union Health Ministry is sending a 6-member team to Kerala over Covid rise

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that they’ve been sending a 6-member team comprising of the Director, National Centre for Disease Control. He said that this team will support the Kerala government’s ongoing efforts in dealing with Covid-19.

Due to a sudden spike in Covid cases in Kerala, Union Health secretary Rajesh Bhushan pens a letter to the Kerala government over the recently held super spreader events in Kerala. In the letter, he reported the state government to implement the Covid guidelines strictly followed by restricting the mass and social gatherings.

On the other hand, the Pinarayi Vijayan’s government has decided to impose the complete lockdown in the state from 29th July-1st August. The daily covid cases has been reporting more than 22k in the state for the past two days, which are half of nation’s total.
