Due to the Covid outbreak, this educational year has also been affected very badly. By keeping the safety of students in mind, the Central government has cancelled the examinations which came under its purview. Not only academic exams but also public service exams are also postponed.
After postponing the exams CBSE, JEE exams, the state governments also postponed exams. The states have passed tenth class students and promoted Intermediate first-year students to the second year. And the Senior Intermediate exams have been postponed.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will meet all state education secretaries on 17th May virtually and review the Covid-19 situation, online education and the implementation of the new National Education Policy.
It is known that Some private and International schools have already started online education and examination methods for regular classes. For tenth and Intermediate, some schools and colleges have been teaching online and conducting regular exams like UTs, Quarterly and Half-yearly through online methods only.
The forthcoming virtual meeting of the Union Minister with state secretaries has got significance now.
