UP government declared a holiday on the day when Kalyan Singh’s body will be cremated

UP CM Yogi Adityanath declared three days of state mourning and a holiday on 23rd August when the Former UP CM Kalyan Singh’s body will be cremated. Mr Kalyan Singh, 89, left his last breath yesterday due to multi-organ failure and sepsis.

The Former UP CM had been undergoing treatment since 4th July in the intensive care unit of the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Uttar Pradesh. Today, PM Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh, UP CM Yogi Adityanath have paid their last tributes to Former CM Kalyan Singh.

PM Narendra Modi said that Kalyan Singh has worked for the Jan Kalyan and will always be admired across India.

He served as UP CM twice between June 1991-December 1992 and September 1997-November 1999. Kalyan Singh was known for the demolition of Babri Masjid in his first term in Ayodhya on 6th December 1992.
