On Covid-19 third wave, there have been different statements from different experts. Some experts say Covid third wave will be in 2-3 three months and it will be severer than the second wave. Some say it won’t affect children and it won’t have an impact like the second wave. A few others say 7-8 months for the third wave.
Whether the above statements are true or false. But one thing is sure that everyone must adhere to covid protocols. Everyone has to wear a mask and maintain physical distance, which was unanimously said by WHO, ICMR and AIIMS to follow.
COVID working group Chairman, Dr NK Arora has said the third wave is expected to hit late as per the ICMR study. Speaking to ANI, he said that we have a window period of 6 to 8 months to immunise everybody in the country. He also said,” In the coming days our target is to administer one crore doses every day”.
Mr Arora disclosed that the Zydus Cadila Covid vaccine trial for the age group 12-18 group is almost complete. And it will be available by the end of July or in August.
